Common questions

How do I get started?

I always start with a free 15 minute phone call, to connect, explain my process, and answer any questions you may have. Following this call, you will receive an email with all intake documents and a link to your initial appointment. All appointments including assessments and general therapy take place virtually through a HIPAA compliant virtual therapy platform, which you can access on your computer or smart phone.

when are you available?

I do my best to accommodate your schedule as much as possible, including evenings as needed. If I don’t have your perfect time available initially, I do work to offer it when it becomes available.

How long are sessions/overall treatment?

Please set aside 90 minutes for the initial assessment. Following that, sessions are 45 minutes to 1 hour in length. The number of sessions depends on the treatment protocol being done as well as your speed of progress. I will provide additional explanation regarding treatment recommendations after speaking with you further. Please come in with an open mind and able to commit both time and dedication to your goals.

Do you accept insurance?

Because I am a one woman practice and due to the lengthy process to file insurance claims, I do not accept insurance currently. However, I can accept HSA or FSA cards for payment, along with other credit and debit cards. I can also provide Superbill documents (receipts) for you to file an out of network claim with your insurance company to receive reimbursement for the sessions yourself. To determine if you have any out of network benefits, you can call the phone number on the back of your insurance card. I use billing code 90791 for the first appointment which is an initial assessment. After that, all sessions are billed as code 90834 (45-53 minute individual therapy session) or 90847 (family therapy session). Please call or email me for additional information and explanation related to billing.
